My Granddaughter Rachel’s Matzo Bark

Well here it is… Rachel’s famous matzo bark. Look Rachel, I posted your recipe. Doesn’t it look pretty listed on my website?

Serving Size:

Ingredients

9 matzos
12 tablespoons butter
1 cup brown sugar
12 ounces chocolate chips
1 cup pecans, chopped
1/2 cup Mini M&M’s
1/2 cup nonpareils

Preparation

Preheat over 450°F

Line two 14 x 18 cookie sheets with aluminum foil

Cover cookie sheets with a single layer of matzo
Heat a medium sized saucepan over low to medium heat

Melt butter in pan

Stir in brown sugar

Boil until it coats a spoon, about 4 minutes or until foamy
Pour butter/sugar mixture over matzos and bake for 4 minutes

Remove matzos from oven and sprinkle evenly with chocolate chips

Return matzos to oven and bake for one minute

Remove matzos from oven and while hot spread melted chips in a thin layer to cover

Sprinkle with chopped pecans, Mini M&M’s and nonpareils

Cool slightly

Place matzo bark into the refrigerator to cool completely

Remove matzo bark from the refrigerator and break into pieces

Bernie's Tip
